How the queue works
in your meet.

Korte is an organizer-first pickleball queue app for open play. Start a quick meet or manage a full meet, check players in, then run the live queue from the same session.

Choose Balanced for longest-wait priority, Balance Games for fewer-games priority, Same skill level to keep levels separate, or Rally Ladder to group players by their latest result. Manage court lineups, enter scores, share the live Watch page, and finish with session standings.

Choose how your queue moves.

Different sessions need different priorities. Choose an available mode in meet setup, and let its rules guide the next rotation.

Balanced — fair rotation

Available now

Wait time comes first.

The longest-waiting eligible player leads the next group. The engine prefers their skill level when it can fill a court, then balances the selected teams using skill information and recent pairings.

If that level cannot fill the court, players from other levels can join an Open match. A relaxed skill-rating gap is also marked Open match. Near-equal waits can favor fresh pairings; this mode does not promise equal game counts.

Balance Games — equal game count

Available now

Fewer games comes first.

The engine prioritizes players with fewer completed games across skill levels, then balances the teams. Set an optional games-per-player target to automatically finish a player's rotation when they reach it.

A player who is a game ahead may wait longer. Waiting time, a short rest after playing, and recent pairings also shape selection. A small eligible pool can require a relaxed match; identical game counts are not guaranteed.

Same skill level only

Available now

Same level. Wait-led rotation.

The engine finds a skill level with enough eligible players, then uses waiting order within that level. Novices play with novices, intermediates with intermediates; levels do not mix automatically.

For doubles, a level needs at least four eligible waiting players. Recent pairings help vary the rotation when there are alternatives. A thin level may wait or repeat partners; another complete level can still play.

Rally Ladder

Available now

Waiting order leads. Latest result shapes the group.

The longest waiter starts the next match. If enough players share their latest win or loss, Korte keeps that court in one result lane and balances the teams by skill.

New players begin without a result. If the oldest player's lane is short, the queue fills an Open match across lanes so the court can keep moving.

Mixed doubles

Beta · Available now

One man and one woman per team. Wait-led selection.

Each team has one man and one woman, selected from the oldest complete legal group.

Choose Men or Women for every checked-in player before starting. Gender applies only to this session; personal profiles stay unchanged.

Men's & women's doubles

Beta · Available now

Four men or four women per court. Wait-led rotation.

Each match has four men or four women, selected from the oldest complete legal group.

Four eligible players must form a complete group with compatible partner locks. A thin group waits while another complete group can play.

King of the court

Beta · Available now

Winners stay. Challengers rotate in.

The winning team faces new challengers, with an optional win-streak cap to rotate the winners off too.

Switch King on or off for any court during play. Occupied courts change after their current game. All courts share one waiting pool, with separate King challengers and Balanced previews. The mixed court preset is only the starting setup.

Priority applies to eligible waiting players. A locked pair waits until both partners are available. Your roster, court availability, and manual lineup changes can affect who plays next.

Your next match, with context.

Your selected mode decides who gets priority. See upcoming groups, follow games played and waiting players, and adjust lineups when the real session needs it—all in the same live layout.

A few things worth knowing.

Is Korte a free pickleball queuing app?

Yes. Korte's built-in queueing engine is free to use. Organizers can create a meet, check players in, manage lineups, and record scores without a queueing subscription. A paid meet's entry fee, if any, is set and collected separately by its organizer.

Can I run several courts at once?

Yes. Set the court count when you create a meet and manage the lineups together in one live session. You can run 4–7 courts; Quick Meet supports 1–8 courts.

Does Korte promise equal games in every session?

No. Balanced prioritizes wait time, Balance Games prioritizes completed-game counts, and Same skill level only keeps players within their level. Arrivals, departures, court availability, player restrictions, and organizer decisions can affect the result; no mode guarantees identical game counts or play time.

Can players follow the live queue?

Yes. Share the meet's Watch link for court status and upcoming lineups. Updates depend on the session connection and sync state; they are not always instantaneous on every device.

What happens if the connection drops?

The live session keeps local state on the organizer's device. Cloud updates and session completion depend on successful sync. Follow the in-app status and recovery guidance, and do not clear browser data during a session.
