By creating an account on Korte, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. Korte reserves the right to update these terms at any time, with changes taking effect upon posting. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of any modifications.
You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account. Users under 18 should have consent from a parent or guardian. By signing up, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the legal capacity to agree to these terms.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Any activity that occurs under your account is your responsibility. You agree to immediately notify Korte of any unauthorized use of your account. Korte is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to secure your account.
You are required to select a skill tier during registration. This self-assessment should honestly reflect your current playing ability. Deliberately misrepresenting your skill level to gain competitive advantage in matchmaking may result in tier adjustment by organizers or account suspension.
When you join a meet, you agree to the meet's posted price and rules. Payments are processed externally (e.g., GCash, bank transfer) and tracked within the app via receipt uploads. Korte does not process, hold, or guarantee any payments. All payment disputes are between the player and the organizer. Confirmed slots are non-refundable unless the organizer explicitly offers a refund.
The Pasalo feature allows confirmed players to transfer their slot to a waitlisted player. The transfer price is locked to the original meet price. Korte facilitates the connection between buyer and seller but does not guarantee or mediate the transaction. Both parties are responsible for completing the external payment. Claiming a Pasalo slot creates a 10-minute lock window — failure to complete payment within this period automatically releases the slot.
Players who confirm a slot but fail to attend a meet may have their no-show count incremented. Repeated no-shows may affect your standing within the community and could result in restrictions on future meet registrations at the discretion of organizers.
You agree to use the in-app chat features (meet chat, club chat, and direct messages) responsibly. Prohibited content includes but is not limited to: harassment, hate speech, spam, explicit content, personal threats, and solicitation. Organizers may report users who violate these guidelines. Korte reserves the right to remove content and suspend accounts that breach this policy. Messages in meet group chats are automatically deleted 7 days after the meet ends.
The queuing system assigns players to courts based on skill tier, wait time, and partner diversity. While the system strives for fairness, Korte does not guarantee specific outcomes such as minimum play time, specific court assignments, or specific partner pairings. Organizers retain the ability to override tier assignments and manage the queue during live sessions.
You retain ownership of content you upload (photos, receipts, chat messages). By uploading content, you grant Korte a non-exclusive license to store and display it within the platform. Payment receipts are automatically deleted 3 days after a meet ends. Profile photos and club assets remain until you delete them or your account. Korte collects and processes personal data in accordance with applicable Philippine data privacy laws (Republic Act No. 10173 — Data Privacy Act of 2012).
The Korte name, logo, branding, and platform design are the intellectual property of Korte. You may not use Korte's branding or create derivative works without written permission. Shareable story cards generated through the app are intended for personal social media sharing and promotional use only.
Korte is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Korte does not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or specific results from using the platform. As a beta product, features may change, be added, or be removed without prior notice.
Korte shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to: physical injuries during meets, financial losses from payment disputes, data loss, or service interruptions. Korte's total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid to Korte (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Korte reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or are reported for misconduct. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our data retention policies.
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any disputes arising from or relating to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Philippines.
