About Korte

The All-in-One Pickleball App

Other apps make you choose: one for queuing, another for organizing events, another for payments, another for communities. Korte replaces all of them.

Discover meets, reserve and pay for slots, get fair matchmaking with DUPR-based skill balancing, run organized open plays, track stats, join clubs, chat with your community, and share your results — all in one place, built for Philippines pickleball.

Why Korte?

Smarter Matchmaking

Most queue apps use simple first-in-first-out. Korte uses your DUPR rating to build balanced teams, avoids repeating the same partners and opponents, and rotates fairly so everyone plays close to the same number of games. Pick a matchmaking mode — Balanced, Strict Tier, Mixed Doubles, or Same Gender — and the algorithm enforces it automatically.

Not Just a Queue

Queue apps stop at court rotation. Korte handles the entire lifecycle: create a meet, set pricing, collect payments via GCash, manage a roster, check players in, run the live session, track scores, calculate standings, and share results — all in one flow.

Built for Communities

Create clubs with member management, approval workflows, club-only meets, and group chat. Players build profiles, follow each other, climb the global leaderboard, and earn Korte Points across every session. It's not just an event tool — it's where your pickleball community lives.

Works Offline

Outdoor courts with bad signal? Korte runs the entire live session locally on the organizer's device. Scores, queue changes, and court assignments are saved on the device and synced to the cloud when connectivity returns. No dropped games, no lost data.

Try Before You Sign Up

Visit /try to run a full sandbox session in your browser — no account needed. Or visit /demo for a guided tour as either a player or an organizer. Both work on your phone.

Transparent for Players

Players see exactly where they are in the queue, who's playing on every court, and which match they're in next. Friends and family can watch the session live from a public spectator link — no login required.

Part 1

Player Manual

If you join meets, queue up, and play. Skip ahead to the Organizer Manual if you run open plays.

Getting Started

Korte is a pickleball community app for discovering open play sessions (called "meets"), joining clubs, and competing with players in your area.

Step 1: Create your account with your name, email or phone, and a password.

Step 2: Set up your profile — display name, username, location, and an avatar. Your gender is optional and only used if an organizer runs a Mixed Doubles or Same Gender session.

Step 3: Choose your skill tier (Beginner, Novice, Intermediate, or Advanced) and enter your DUPR rating. Be honest — this determines who you get matched with.

Step 4: You're in! Start exploring meets and join one.

Not ready to sign up? Visit /try to run a sandbox session, or /demo for a guided tour.

Browsing Without an Account

You can browse Korte without creating an account. The Explore page, meet details, club details, and player profiles are publicly accessible.

You only need to sign up when you want to join a meet, chat, follow players, or create content.

Finding and Joining Meets

The Explore tab is your home screen. It shows upcoming meets in your area.

Filters: Use the skill tier chips to filter by your level. Use the calendar icon to filter by date. Toggle the grid icon to group meets by date.

Joining: Tap "Join Meet" to reserve your spot. If the meet is full, you can join the waitlist — you'll be notified instantly if a slot opens.

Tier-restricted meets: Some meets are limited to specific skill tiers. If you're not eligible, the join button shows "{Tier} Only" and is disabled.

Payment

Korte doesn't process payments directly. Payments are made externally (GCash, bank transfer, etc.) and tracked in the app.

1. After joining, tap "Pay" to see the organizer's GCash QR code or account number.

2. Send the payment via GCash or your preferred method.

3. Upload a screenshot of your payment receipt in the app.

4. The organizer reviews your receipt and confirms your slot.

Payment receipts are automatically deleted 3 days after the meet ends for your privacy.

Live Session & Queuing

When a meet goes live, the organizer starts the session and the automated queuing system takes over.

How the queue works:

• The system matches you with players of similar skill level using your DUPR rating.

• Players with the fewest games get priority, so everyone plays close to the same number of games.

• In doubles, teams are balanced so each side has similar combined skill.

• The system avoids repeating the same partners and opponents across matches.

• If you've been waiting a long time, you get a small priority bonus to keep you moving.

• If you arrive late, you start one rotation behind so on-time players aren't penalised.

Player numbers: When you check in, you're assigned a permanent number (#1, #2, #3...) for the session. It appears on your avatar throughout.

Up Next: The sidebar shows the upcoming match queue. Match #1 is always accurate — whichever court finishes first gets those players. You also see a badge on your own row telling you which match you're in next.

Matchmaking modes: The organizer picks a mode for the session:

• Balanced — default. Mixes tiers when it improves the match.

• Strict Tier — only same-tier matches.

• Mixed Doubles — every team has 1 male + 1 female player.

• Same Gender — every match is 4 same-gender players.

Mixed Doubles and Same Gender require gender on your profile. The organizer can also set a per-meet override.

Spectator View

Organizers can share a QR code or link for a public spectator view. No login required.

Spectators see all courts, who's playing, predicted next matches, and live rankings. Live scores and DUPR ratings are hidden for privacy.

Even if a meet is club-only, the spectator link works while the session is live — the URL itself acts as the access pass.

Pasalo (Slot Transfer)

Can't make it? Sell your slot to someone on the waitlist.

Selling: Tap "Pasalo Slot" and upload your GCash QR. Waitlisted players are notified instantly.

Buying: Claim the slot, pay within 10 minutes, upload a receipt. If you don't pay in time, the slot is released back to the queue.

Court Pasalo lets you transfer a confirmed venue court booking the same way — available from the My Bookings page when you can't make a court reservation.

Profile, Stats & Sharing

Your profile shows your display name, tier, DUPR, Korte Points, meets attended, clubs, followers, and recent results.

Edit your display name, username (once every 14 days), location, avatar, gender, DUPR, and tier anytime.

After a meet ends, share your results as a story card (1080x1920) to Instagram, Facebook, or any app. The card includes your rank, W-L record, and Korte Points.

Manage push notification preferences and privacy settings (hide clubs, recent plays).

Korte Points (KP)

Korte Points are calculated from your wins and how decisively you won (or lost):

KP = (Wins x 500) + (Total Point Differential + 250)

Win more games and win by bigger margins to climb the global leaderboard. Sessions flagged as unranked (mostly guests, or organizer-disabled) don't contribute to KP.

Clubs & Chat

Clubs are optional communities. Join to access club-only meets and a dedicated group chat.

Meet Chat: Group chat for confirmed players. Archived 7 days after the meet ends.

Club Chat: Permanent group chat for club members.

Direct Messages: Message any player directly.

Part 2

Organizer Manual

If you run open plays. Covers creating meets, the live session toolkit, matchmaking modes, and recovery.

Two Ways to Start a Session

Quick Session: The fastest path. Paste a roster (e.g. from Reclub), pick the number of courts, set a title and time, and you're at check-in. Everyone is added as a guest stub — you don't have to match each name to a Korte account.

Full Meet Creation: The 5-step wizard. Use this when you want public discovery, payment collection, a confirmed roster, club-only access, or specific matchmaking rules.

From the Explore tab, tap "Create Meet" → you'll see the Quick Session shortcut at the top.

Creating a Meet (Full Flow)

The wizard has 5 steps:

1. Basic info — title, date, time, format (singles/doubles), capacity.

2. Details — venue, description, allowed tiers, max DUPR gap, lock pairs toggle, ranked toggle.

3. Game style — pick a matchmaking mode (Balanced / Strict Tier / Mixed Doubles / Same Gender). King of Court is coming soon.

4. Payment — per-player price + your GCash QR.

5. Roster (optional) — paste a Reclub roster to pre-seed players. Each name is matched against existing Korte accounts; ambiguous matches let you pick.

After publishing, share the meet link or QR code so players can join.

Matchmaking Modes

Pick one when creating the meet. Locked once the session goes live.

Balanced (default) — matches same-tier first, mixes tiers when it makes a more competitive game. Use for most open plays.

Strict Tier — refuses to mix tiers. Use for tier-restricted events.

Mixed Doubles — every team is 1 male + 1 female. Players without a gender are excluded until you set an override.

Same Gender — every match is 4 same-gender players. Same gender requirement.

If a strict match isn't possible (e.g. only 3 of one gender on a court), Korte shows an "Open match" badge and lets you override per-court to fill anyway.

Roster Management

From the Manage page you can:

• Add or remove confirmed players.

• Add a guest stub for someone without a Korte account (name + tier + DUPR + optional gender).

• Edit a player's tier, DUPR, or gender just for this meet — their real profile is untouched.

• Confirm a waitlisted player directly with one tap if you want to slot them in without payment review.

• Add co-organizers from your followers list.

• Run a Dry Run — clones your meet with all players as guests so you can test the live flow without affecting real stats.

Check-In

When you're ready to start, tap Continue Check-In. Each player you check in gets a permanent player number for the session.

Add walk-in guests right from the check-in page — tap Add Guest and enter their name, tier, DUPR, and (if needed) gender.

Filter and search the roster from the same page. Tap the pencil icon next to any player to adjust their tier, DUPR, or gender override before kickoff.

Made a mistake? Reset wipes check-in and lets you start fresh.

Running the Live Session

Once you tap Start, courts auto-fill and players cycle through. The header gives you:

• Working pill — visible whenever a court assignment is in flight.

• Queued N pill — how many actions are saved locally and waiting to sync at End Meet.

• Cloud sync indicator — tap to see snapshot age, push status, and pending mirror count.

• Overflow menu (...) — standings, match history, mixed-tiers toggle, transfer session, and more.

Per-court controls: enter score (locked for first 60 s to avoid ghost matches), shuffle Up Next pairings, swap a player inline, fill an empty court manually.

Player Tools (per-player menu)

• Skip: rest a player without removing them.

• Send Home: player is done for the day.

• Return to Queue: bring back a skipped player. Late no-show returners get a one-rotation handicap so on-time players aren't penalised.

• Lock Partner: permanently pair two players for the session.

• Edit DUPR / Tier / Gender: per-meet override only.

• Kick from Court: the system auto-finds a replacement.

Match History & Score Editing

The History button (in the overflow menu) opens a list of every completed match. Filter by court, see scores and timestamps, and tap the pencil icon to fix any score with +/- buttons. Tied scores are blocked at save.

Standings, the leaderboard, and post-meet KP all recompute from the corrected scores.

Last Game & End Meet

Last Game — signal the final round. Courts won't auto-fill after their game ends. You can still manually fill an individual court for an extra round (great when courts finish at different times).

End Meet — appears once all courts are empty. Replays the local action log to the cloud, marks the meet completed, and sends everyone to Standings. If sync fails, you'll see the unsynced count and an option to retry or use the server log.

Co-Organizers & Session Transfer

Add co-organizers when you create or manage the meet. They can run check-in and the live session from their own device.

During a live session, only one device drives the session at a time. From the overflow menu, the active organizer can Transfer Session to a co-organizer — the next time they open the live page, they accept and take over. Useful when handing off to a partner mid-event or switching devices.

If a co-organizer or admin opens the live page while another device is driving, they see a takeover modal: "Take over" or "Watch instead."

Offline Mode & Recovery

The live session runs entirely on your device. Scores, queue changes, and assignments are saved to local storage and synced to the cloud every 15 seconds. Lose signal? Keep going — everything resumes once connectivity returns.

If End Meet ever fails to sync, the modal shows exactly what couldn't be saved and gives you Retry, Use Server Log, or End Anyway. Admins have a Re-Finalize tool to recover stuck completed meets from the server-side action log.

Dry Run Testing

From the Manage page, tap Dry Run. Korte clones your meet — players, settings, matchmaking mode, lock pairs, overrides — and converts everyone to guest stubs so the simulation doesn't touch real stats.

Run the full session, end it, view standings, then tap Done to delete the dry run. A yellow banner stays visible the whole time so you don't mix it up with the real meet.

Spectator Sharing

From the live page, tap Share to show a QR code that opens the public spectator view. Players, families, and waitlisted folks can watch courts, Up Next, and live rankings without logging in.

The link works for club-only meets too — only people you share it with will find it while the session is live.
